Before coming to the main point, I will tell your first that I am a big music lover. Well, you can see me almost 10-12 hours listening to the music. Recently, I tried listening online radio for a change and I am in no doubt to say that I am loving it.
Listening online radio is cool but finding radio stations online is a pain. And when I was about to give up, I finally came across a Adobe Air application called Antenna that solves my problems by combining vast list of radio stations with a map interface.
This software is really very easy to use. You can find a vast list of radio stations combined with a map interface and switch between thousands of stations effortlessly. You can even search stations by country or genre, or just by clicking on a location of the map.
You can return to your favorite stations easily by rating them and beyond that you have a history of recently listened stations. The software also have built-in search tool and a option to record online music into your PC.
Let’s see Antenna in action to understand it better :
When you first time launch the application, you will see the home screen like the image below. The left side will show you the browsing panel where you search for the radio stations and based on the radio stations you choose, the background map will navigate you to the station’s location.

To start listening, browse stations based on category ranging from ‘flags’, ‘country’, and ‘Genre’.

Recording Audio
You can also record the song which you are listening to. To start recording click on “Round white button” which will turn into red color when you click it. It means recording is in the progress.

When you done recording the song, click on “red button”, a pop-up window will appear which shows the information where the file is being saved.

See, how easy is now to listen thousands of radio stations online.
Advantages of Antenna
- Thousands of Radio Stations to choose from
- No registration or Sign-up required
- Crystal clear sound
- Chat option is also available with other Antenna users
- Nice interface design
Disadvantages of Antenna
- Not all radio stations work
- Quirkiness in Recording function

Conclusion
With only one disadvantage in recording function, I still think that Antenna is the best way to listen thousands of radio stations online for free in crystal clear sound.
