Cool Free Android App For Texting Addicts

The widespread adoption of SMS technology is actually making people go crazy. Some freaks are so much addicted that whichever place they are in you can see them fiddling with their mobiles. Accept or deny it, but the fact remains that none of us is left untouched from the texting buff.

The problem with most of us is that we keep texting wherever we are, be it in bus, office, home, roads or at any place without even worrying about the problems we can get into. Texting while walking on the road is definitely not a good idea. You can easily get into problems like walking into lamp posts, stepping over some stray dog, falling into the manhole covers and many more accidents like these.

At times, it’s really important to text back. Now the question arises; what’s the solution? Well, I would say “Road SMS App”. I have been recently looking for some Apps for the Android based mobiles and came across this cool Road SMS App made for the Samsung Galaxy S phone exclusively.

The App lets you text with ease, especially while walking on roads. Using built-in camera, it projects an image of what’s in front of the user and puts it as a background on the screen. This way one can see what’s coming up without losing the focus from texting.

The Road SMS App is  simply wonderful but unfortunately it has some off-putting aspects too. You just have a keyboard, a shortcut to choose the message recipient and a character counter that means you need to text within some limits. Characters are limited to 80. Besides this, the App doesn’t provide a 360 degree view, so the camera is unable to capture what’s on the sides or behind the user.

Leaving aside above mentioned negative aspects, I find this Road SMS one pretty cool App that provides a road view to let you  see the road clearly while typing on your message. All those who have Samsung Galaxy Si9000 in their pockets surely know that the app comes pre-installed but those who are using different Android based mobiles can download and use it too. The good news is that the App doesn’t prick your pockets. It comes totally free.

Walk along the street, keep texting and don’t worry about falling in open manhole covers or meeting any sort of accident, Road SMS is here to let you do the texting with ease. On personal note, I find Road SMS just so cool!
